Monday Morning

7 x 4 1/2 inches, oil on hardboard

This is a view from the same general area as my two previous plein air paintings. While I was working, I periodically heard the mooing of unseen cows which only added to the already idyllic scene.  I think two wandered into that far left meadow just as I was leaving.  I'd like to go back and paint this spot again.

  1. Man, your paintings are making me want to have land even more than I already do. Bees, chickens, goats, a couple cows... bliss. Thanks for feeding the obsession. :)

    1. Imagine if that was your back yard! I've been really enjoying plein air painting because I stay in one place for a long time just looking as if I was on a back porch relaxing, gazing into the quiet distance. The longer I'm there, the more vibrant the scene becomes and I start feeling giddy with all that I'm seeing. Plein air painting is new to me and I hadn't anticipated how much I would like it.
