Couldn't get on the computer yesterday--- this is the garlic flower I finished recently. My model had dried up so I had to finish from memory. Again, photographing these dark backgrounds is a real challenge. When I get a chance, I'll try to get a better photo. I'm working the Cherrywood Art Fair this weekend so I haven't been able to paint. Hopefully tomorrow....
Dramatic background. You said it's a challenge to photograph. Is the color the same in person?
ReplyDeleteThe color is more maroon than black. Toward the edges it does get very dark. I think the photo (on my screen) looks mostly black.
