I finished the persimmon painting but late and I would rather take a photo of it in natural light. I'll post it tomorrow. This morning's sketch of a face was inspired by a photograph I found connected to an article in the Smithsonian about the Italian mafia.
His eyes were what made we want to sketch him although, in the final drawing, my favorite part is the left side with his ear and the dark line that trails down to outlines his hand.
I can see why you wanted to sketch him. His face is so interesting, his expression intriguing. His eyes really tell the story.
